Workforce Centers

All of the services and programs administered by the Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande through the workforce/satellite centers  are provided by the board's  vendor, The Middle Rio Grande Development Council, who operates all of the workforce/satellite centers within the Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande service delivery area.

Currently, there are five certified Texas Workforce Centers in the region located in the following counties:  Dimmit (Carrizo Springs), Val Verde (Del Rio), Maverick (Eagle Pass), Uvalde (Uvalde), and Zavala (Crystal City).  Satellite centers are located in the following counties:  Edwards (Rocksprings), Kinney (Brackettville), LaSalle (Cotulla) and Real (Camp Wood and Leakey).   

Every member of our workforce/satellite center staff are customer driven and are available to help by assisting you in your efforts to access quality employment and employment related education and training services.

Services we provide at our centers include:

  • Eligibility Determination

  • Labor Market Information

  • Referrals to Educational Training Service and Supportive Services

  • Computerized Media Services

  • Printed Materials and Videos

  • Education and Occupational Skills Information

  • Financial Aid and Scholarship Information

  • Community Resource Information

  • Resume Writing and Interviewing Techniques

  • Texas Workforce Registration for Employment and Unemployment Benefits

  • Access to the Job Express, Internet, Computers, Telephone, Fax and Copy Machines

  • G.E.D. Classes

  • Specialized Services for Clients With Special Needs

  • Child Care Provider Services

  • Workforce Investment Act (WIA) information

*Centers in Dimmit, LaSalle, Maverick, Uvalde, Val Verde and Zavala counties also provide information on Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (Choices) and Food Stamp Employment & Training (FSE&T) programs.
