Employer Services
All of the services and programs administered by the Middle Rio Grande Workforce Board (MRGWFB) through the Workforce Centers are provided by the Board's vendor, The Middle Rio Grande Development Council, who operates all of the Workforce Centers within the Middle Rio Grande Service Delivery Area (MRGSDA).
Currently, there are three certified Texas Workforce Centers, Dimmit County (Carrizo Springs), Val Verde County (Del Rio) and Maverick County (Eagle Pass) in the region. The next Centers to be targeted as designated Texas Workforce Centers are Uvalde and Zavala Counties. Satellite Centers are located in Edwards (Rocksprings), Kinney (Brackettville), LaSalle (Cotulla) and Real (Camp Wood and Leakey) counties.
Every member of our Workforce Centers staff is customer driven and they are there to help any employer access quality potential employees.
Services available to employers include:

Recruitment and Pre-screening of potential employees for the interviewing process.

Assessment of basic skills and work aptitude levels of potential employees.

Development of a customized training program for each individual employee hired under the program.

Employers may be eligible for a tax credit of up to $8,000.00 if they participate in the hiring of some target groups.

Assistance to employers affected by layoff or downsizing of a business.

If an employer chooses not to work with a program, the MRGDC can still assist with referral and assessments, resource room, internet access, etc.
