There is a partnership agreement between the Chief Elected
Officials and the Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande. A portion
of this partnership agreement is outlined below. For a complete copy of

In order to faithfully and effectively execute the
authorities and responsibilities granted to local officials under the provisions
of the Texas Workforce and Economic Competitiveness Act of 1993, as amended, and
in order to assure, to the extent feasible, an effective and productive
workforce development and economic competitiveness program in the designated
Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande region of Texas, the Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande
board and the region's designated Chief Elected
Officials do agree and affirm as follows:
There is established hereunder a Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande
partnership between the Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande board and the
statutorily designated Chief Elected Officials of the Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande
region, whose purposes shall be to effectively exercise
the local, regional authorities over the workforce development programs covered
under the terms of the Texas Workforce and Economic Competitiveness Act of 1993,
as amended, and to assure, to the extent feasible within the appropriated
resources, that the residents, businesses, and employers of the Workforce
Solutions Middle Rio
Grande planning region of Texas have access to and receive the highest quality
of services designed to prepare individuals for productive employment, and to
provide employers with a productive and competitive workforce.
