There is a partnership agreement between the Chief Elected Officials and the Middle Rio Grand Workforce Development Board.  A portion of this partnership agreement is outlined below.  For a complete copy of this partnership agreement, please write the Middle Rio Grande Workforce Board office at P. "In order to faithfully and effectively execute the authorities and responsibilities granted to local officials under the provisions of the Texas Workforce and Economic Competitiveness Act of 1993, as amended, and in order to assure, to the extent feasible, an effective and productive workforce development and economic competitiveness program in the designated Middle Rio Grande Workforce Development Region of Texas, the Middle Rio Grande Workforce Development Board (Board) and the region's designated Chief Elected Officials do agree and affirm as follows:

There is established hereunder a Middle Rio Grande Workforce Development Partnership between the Middle Rio Grande Workforce Development  Board and the statutorily designated Chief Elected Officials of the Middle Rio Grande Workforce Development Region, whose purposes shall be to effectively exercise the local, regional authorities over the workforce development programs covered under the terms of the Texas Workforce and Economic Competitiveness Act of 1993, as amended, and to assure, to the extent feasible within the appropriated resources, that the residents, businesses, and employers of the Middle Rio Grande Planning Region of Texas have access to and receive the highest quality of services designed to prepare individuals for productive employment, and to provide employers with a productive and competitive workforce."
